98.5 KDES has your tickets for the San Diego Zoo ~ Listen to WIN Tickets!
Just like kids, animals love to play, and this spring, guests at the San Diego Zoo can watch animals enjoy their toys – and have fun with their food – during Play Days from March 23rd through April 7th.
The 16 days of play feature different animal experiences daily that include keeper talks, special activities and treats for the animals, and opportunities for guests to meet Zoo creatures up close – perhaps to feed one!
The Opening Ceremony begins at 8:45 a.m. each day with Zoo Ambassador Rick Schwartz and colorful, squawking macaws soaring over guests’ heads on the Zoo’s entry plaza. A lucky participant is chosen to help.
Some of the activities during Play Days will be elephant pedicures, toys for polar bears, popsicles for bonobos.
Fun for guests may include feeding giraffes and tossing crunchy crickets to the Zoo’s meerkats.
Most activities during Play Days are free with paid admission to the San Diego Zoo.
